The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, in partnership with Cincinnati Childrens Hospital Medical Center , has been working to become the most welcoming, accessible, and inclusive Zoo for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. The Zoo has made great progress toward this goal since the effort, funded by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services , began in 2017.
Many Cincinnati Zoo staff members have also received training provided by the LEND professionals at Childrens Hospital on how to welcome and support visitors with developmental disabilities. Staff members who have received training have a blue Access for All logo on their ID badge.
Phoenix Zoo Membership Options
If you live in the Phoenix area or find yourself there regularly, you could be the perfect candidate for a zoo membership. Under this approach, youll pay far less over time than you would if purchasing tickets for individual visits.
Perks of zoo memberships include unlimited daytime admission and discounts on special events or experiences. The Phoenix Zoo membership discount also applies to stroller rentals and birthday parties. Reciprocal admission is provided, so you may be able to enter other zoos at a discounted rate.

Discounted Phoenix Zoo Lights Tickets
In addition to daytime tickets, aRes offers discounted admission for the Phoenix Zoo ZooLights event. Held select evenings between late November and mid-January, this walk-through experience brings a whole new dimension to the zoo. Our all-inclusive ticket starts at $41.95 and $31.95 for April – Oct and $30.95 and $22.95 for Nov – March, and provides park entry plus unlimited access to the rides and attractions available on that day of visit *. Limited Admission tickets are for park entry only and are $26.95 and $18.95 And, as always, children 2 and under are always free!

Ride & Experience Accessibility
The Cincinnati Zoo has a train, carousel, Kanga Klimb Ropes Course, Giraffe Feeding Experience, and Roo Valley Walkabout for visitors enjoyment. Hours of operation vary seasonally and for maintenance please check the website for current hours.
The Safari Train takes visitors on a journey around the inner loop of the Zoo with the ability to see habitats from a unique vantage-point. The train ride starts at the Train Station, across from Base Camp Café, and takes a single loop around the Zoo, ending in the same place. The seating benches are 45 wide, and are 28 deep from the backrest-to-backrest. Boarding the train requires visitors to step up 18 and to clear a 14w x 51h entry into the car. Guests under 42 inches in height must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Train tickets cost $4 per rider.
The Safari Train has an accessible train car that can accommodate 2 wheelchairs at a time. To use the accessible train car, speak to an employee who will assist you in boarding the car up a ramp and securing the wheelchair using wheel locks.
The Conservation Carousel can accommodate 1 wheelchair at a time. To ride the carousel in a wheelchair, speak to an employee who will assist you in boarding the car up a ramp and securing the wheelchair using wheel locks.
Parking And Public Transit
While many attractions charge for parking, this is completely free at the Phoenix Zoo. Specific parking lots are provided for school buses and other vehicles. Finding parking in the main lot is typically easy set your navigating app to 455 North Galvin Parkway in Phoenix.
Access to the zoo is also available by bus or light rail. Keep in mind that, if you take the Valley Metro Rail, youll need to walk for twenty minutes after you get off at Priest Drive. Otherwise, bus routes 3 or 56 will drop you off near the zoo entrance.
