The museum contains over 35,000 artifacts spread over 14 acres, making it an excellent destination for visitors. According to Augustus Saint-Gaudens, there has been nothing comparable since the Parthenon. It is a must-see for any Chicago museum lover and every local and tourist. After the 1893 Worlds Columbian Exposition in Chicago, the Palace of Fine Arts was abandoned. Through his purchase of a quarter stake in Sears, Roebuck and Co., known as JR, Rosenwald transformed the company into a multi-million-dollar manufacturer. The Museum of Natural History relocated to its current location south of Grant Park in 1921. During a family vacation in Germany, JR came up with the concept for a science museum.

You can step into a tornado in Science Storms, a two-story exhibit that has a tornado-themed component. Illinois residents with valid ID are eligible for free admission to the Museum of Science and Industry through 2022. Adults in Chicago are entitled to a $5 discount, while children aged 11 through 31 are entitled to a $3 discount. When you buy your tickets online, you will receive a $2 discount.
