You can use your EBT card in any grocery store or retail location in the United States that displays the Quest Mark® logo or online at approved locations. Your EBT card will work much like a debit card, and you will have a PIN number you will need to enter. It is important that you keep your EBT card and PIN number safe and secure at all times.

Can I Buy Deli Food With New York Snap Ebt

You are not allowed to use New York SNAP to buy food you can eat at the premises or hot food in general.

You are only allowed to buy food you are taking home to prepare.

Therefore, when it comes to Deli foods, you cannot buy hot food from the deli or prepared foods like mac n cheese, chicken or sandwiches, stuff from the salad bar.

However, you can buy deli meats and cheeses and cold uncooked items from the deli with your New York SNAP EBT card as long as you are going to take them home to prepare.

Furthermore, some delis that take New York SNAP will display items that are eligible.

Are There Restrictions When Using My Ebt Card

Yes. It is illegal to use your EBT card at:

• Liquor store
• Casino, gambling casino, gaming business
• Adult-entertainment business
• Any place mainly for or used by adults 18 or older and/or not in the best interest of the child or household

It is also illegal to use your EBT card to buy:

• Alcohol
• Foods prepared to be immediately eaten
• Vitamins, medicine, supplements or
• Non-food items such as paper products, soap, or pet food.

Buying any of these items with your EBT card or using your EBT card at any of these locations is considered misuse. The Family Support Division checks EBT purchases. If you misuse your EBT card, you will no longer be able to use an EBT card and FSD will select a new person to make purchases for your child/children. If you use your EBT card at any of these locations, you will be required to pay back the amount of the purchase. It is against the law for retailers at these locations to accept EBT cards.

What If My Lone Star Card Is Lost Stolen Or Doesnt Work

Your card will be canceled. This means that no one not even you can use your card.

If you need a new card, we will mail you one. Youll get it in seven calendar days. Your PIN and balance will transfer to your new card.

If someone steals your benefits before you call us at 800-777-7328, you lose those benefits. Someone can steal your benefits if they have your card and know your PIN.

Ri Works Ebt Restrictions

RI Works EBT card holders are not allowed to use their EBT card to buy anything in the following places and are also not allowed to use an ATM machine located at these places to withdraw cash:

• Liquor Stores

• Retail Establishments that provide adult-oriented entertainment .

Using your card in these locations will result in the following penalties:

• The first time you use your card at one of the restricted places, you will receive a written warning

Receipts are your proof if there is a problem with your account. Always save your receipts. If you think a store deducted too much from your account, call EBT Customer Service at 800-997-9999 right away.
