Good news for those who receive SNAP/ EBT benefits. You can now use your benefits to purchase groceries online from Instacart vendors. This means that you can have your groceries delivered right to your door, without having to go to the store.
It’s a great solution for those who don’t have the time or energy to shop for groceries, or for those who live in areas where there are no grocery stores nearby. In this blog post, we will discuss how to use your SNAP/EBT benefits on Instacart, as well as some extra uses for SNAP Benefits.
Instacart Accepts Ebt Payments For More Online Grocery Shopping

FOX 26 Consumer Reporter Heather Sullivan has some smart sense on how you can take advantage of using Instacart for your grocery orders.
HOUSTON Families receiving SNAP food benefits can now order groceries online for delivery using EBT benefits for more stores. They can even get free delivery for a few months.
Instacart is expanding to include many more grocery stores where people can shop online using EBT SNAP benefits and have the groceries delivered.
Instacart is now accepting EBT SNAP payments for online grocery shopping for delivery with stores, like ALDI, BJs Wholesale, Brookshires, and Homeland. 40 stores in 39 states.
The Houston Food Bank says it could be a big help in fighting hunger.
Because someone lives five or more miles from a grocery store that has nutritious fruits and vegetables, or has lean meats and protein, definitely bringing that food into their homes is better, said registered dietician Nicole Lander with the Houston Food Bank.
Customers can shop on the Instacart website or mobile app, check that delivery is available in their zip code, then upload their EBT card plus another form of payment for non-covered items, tax, or delivery fees.
Several other retailers also accept EBT payments for online grocery orders, including Amazon, Walmart, H-E-B, and Kroger.
Things to note: prices for groceries online are sometimes a little higher than in-store prices.
Shopping For Ebt Snap
Customers in the U.S. can pay for online orders with a valid EBT card, in full or in part, from participating stores in select states. For a full list of states, check out our SNAP via EBT card article.
If you dont see EBT SNAP as an option for your local participating store, make sure you have the latest version of the Instacart app. If you still cant see EBT SNAP, check back often as we continue to expand to more stores.
There are a few ways for you to see which items are EBT SNAP eligible.
You can allow EBT SNAP-eligible items to display when you shop. To enable this setting
When searching for items you can add a filter by tapping Explore > EBT Eligibility and selecting Only EBT-eligible items to see only EBT-eligible items.
If you are browsing items from the Store Homepage, tap or click on a specific item to see if it is EBT SNAP eligible. If it is eligible, it will say EBT above the price of the item.
You can confirm which items are EBT SNAP-eligible in your cart before checking out. It will say EBT under the name of each item that qualifies.

What Restaurants Take California Snap Ebt
Your CalFresh EBT Card or Golden State Advantage card can be used at select restaurants and fast food places if you meet the eligibility criteria.
This is part of the CalFresh Restaurant Meals Program.
The Restaurant Meals Program allows CalFresh recipients who are 60 years of age or older, disabled, or homeless to use their CalFresh benefits to purchase lower-cost prepared meals at approved participating restaurants in certain counties.

Does Instacart Take Ebt In 2022
Instacart will allow customers to use EBT Benefits from SNAP in a select number of states and in a limited number of retailers by 2022.
Customers are able to add their EBT details accounts on their Instacart accounts and then use them while shopping. EBT is not able to be used on Instacart to pay for delivery charges or other charges, nor is it able to be used for tips.

Select Ebt Eligible Items From Participating Stores
EBT SNAP eligible items are marked “EBT” when browsing your local store selections. You must select stores within the state you initially applied for SNAP benefits.
Helpful Tip: Make sure you have the latest version of the InstaCart app when checking for participating stores.

As I mentioned the fact that theres a grocery store within your vicinity on Instacart does not necessarily mean it is able to accept EBT SNP automatically.
Youll need to determine if theyre eligible to accept EBT within your particular state. You are able to do it here.

BATON ROUGE, La. – Albertsons has launched a brand new online service for its customers.
The company says you can use SNAP benefits when buying groceries online through its app, website and also through the Instacart app.
The store chain says this new feature will allow families and individuals who rely on EBT SNAP benefits to have greater access to nutritious food.
