How Will I Get My Child’s P
If your household currently receives SNAP or you previously received P-EBT, we’ll put your benefits on your existing Lone Star Card or P-EBT card if the information provided by schools/districts matches the information we have. If the information is different, we will send a new P-EBT card in the mail.
If you no longer have your P-EBT card, call at the Lone Star Help Desk at 800-777-7328 to request a new one.
If you do not currently receive SNAP and have not received P-EBT benefits before, you will be sent a notice in the mail with a claim code. You can use this code to claim your child’s P-EBT benefits by going to YourTexasBenefits.com or by calling the P-EBT Call Center. Detailed instructions are included in the notice. You have 90 days to claim your benefits.
Who Is Eligible For The P
The following are the eligibility requirements for the p-ebt card:
1. The individual must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully present in the United States.
2. The individual must be a Georgia resident.
3. The individual must be a part of a household that has been determined by DFCS to be eligible for SNAP benefits for the month in which the p-EBT card is issued.
4. P-EBT cards are not issued to individuals who are already receiving SNAP benefits.
5. P-EBT cards are not issued to individuals who are eligible for free or reduced lunch through the National School Lunch Program.
6. P-EBT cards are issued to households with children who would have been eligible to receive free or reduced lunch through the National School Lunch Program if schools were not closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
7. P-EBT cards are issued to households with children who are attending a school that has closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and are not receiving meal benefits through another program such as the Summer Food Service Program.
8. P-EBT benefits are issued on a per-child basis. Households with multiple children who are eligible for P-EBT will receive a separate card for each child.

What If I Lost My P
You can request a replacement for a lost or misplaced P-EBT card but the USDA does not allow states to replace the value of any benefits that were on the card when it was lost. If you lose the card, you lose the money that was on that card.

What Is Pandemic Ebt Benefits And Who Is Eligible
Pandemic EBT was authorized by the Families First Corona Virus Response Act. The purpose of P-EBT is to provide food assistance to families with students who would have received free or reduced lunch while attending school but are not in school due to COVID-19 restrictions. This benefit is available only to families with students enrolled in an Indiana school and were eligible for free or reduced lunch or the school is a Community Eligibility Provision participant. To participate in the P-EBT program schools must be eligible and students must be eligible. The eligibility criteria is below.
- Schools must be closed or had a delayed start OR have a hybrid model in place.
- Schools must be a provider of the National School Lunch Program and/or School Breakfast Program.
- Students must be enrolled in an Indiana School.
Students are participating in a virtual or hybrid school schedule. A hybrid schedule allows students to participate in school via a virtual learning option including:
- Students are attending school virtually due to quarantine,
- Students attend school both virtual and in person.
- Students must be eligible to receive free/reduced lunch or breakfast for the 2020-2021 school year under normal National School Lunch Program standards.
SUMMER P-EBT: The P-EBT benefit labeled Summer P-EBT is for all students who are eligible for free/reduced lunch and does not require COVID related absences.

Who Is Eligible For P
According to the California Department of Social Services :
A young child is eligible for P-EBT 2.0 if, between October 1, 2020, and August 31, 2021, they were:
- Age 0-6 years old and
- Part of a household getting CalFresh food benefits and
- Living in a county where at least one school facility is closed or is limiting in-person instruction.
Additionally, School-aged children are eligible for P-EBT 2.0 if they were:
- Enrolled at a school for school year 2020-21 that participated in the federal School Breakfast Program or National School Lunch Program and
- Eligible to get free or reduced-price meals for school year 2020-21 and
- Assumed to have attended school via all distance learning or a hybrid of all distance learning and in-person learning at least some days of the week during school year 2020-21.
What Can I Purchase With P
Households can use P-EBT benefits to buy bread, cereals, fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, poultry, dairy, and plants and seeds to grow food for your household to eat. Households cannot use P-EBT benefits to buy nonfood items such as pet foods, soaps, paper products, household supplies, grooming items, alcoholic beverages, tobacco, vitamins, medicines, food to eat in the store, or hot foods. Pandemic Ebt 30 And Summer P
P-EBT is a federal program that provides food benefits for families with children under 6 years old who also received CalFresh Food benefits and school-aged children who were eligible for free or reduced price school meals during the 2021-2022 school year.

My Child Is Eligible But Hasn’t Received Benefits What Can I Do
A review of your benefits can be requested between August 15 and October 14. To request a review, call the P-EBT Call Center at 833-442-1255, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Central time.
After your request is submitted, HHS will review the benefit decision and contact your child’s school for more information. The review process can take two to five weeks to complete.
If the review determines that your child was eligible for more school year P-EBT benefits than they received, those benefits will be issued to your Lone Star Card or P-EBT Card.
Requests for review of a benefit decision can only be submitted once per household, and all review decisions are final.

No. The benefits will carry over from month to month. Your P-EBT benefits will remain on your card for a maximum of 274 days from your last activity starting from the issuance date. When Are The P
We started hearing from parents who had benefits issued directly to their cards beginning on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. Funds will be issued to all eligible families over the coming weeks.
