The only downside is that Fresh Direct requires that EBT customers place a minimum order of $30, and they dont deliver nationwide. Their food delivery services are limited in six northwest states, including New Jersey, Washington DC, New York, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut.

What Else Can You Do To Pay With Ebt

It can be quite discouraging to find that so few places will accept EBT payments. Not only do meal kit delivery services not accept this payment option, even food delivery companies dont accept EBT.

This includes popular options like DoorDash and UberEats that you might have thought you could use. When it comes to ordering food, it can be very difficult to do so with an EBT card as there are limitations.

This is also a fairly new payment option that many people still dont use, so companies have not felt as pressured to start accepting it. This can be frustrating as your options are severely limited in this part of the market.

The good thing is that you do have a few food delivery options to choose from that accept EBT. They may not necessarily be meal kit delivery companies, but they are the next best thing if you still want food delivered to your home.

Is Ebt Hot Meal Program Delivery An Option

Each state has guidelines that determine what can and cant be purchased with EBT SNAP benefits. Some states do allow EBT hot meal program delivery in the form of restaurant prepared meals.
