Hurricane Ida Hot Food Waiver
Due to Hurricane Ida, now through September 28, 2021, Louisiana P-EBT can be used to purchase “hot” or prepared foods, following a waiver from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Service . Waiving that restriction is vital in the aftermath of a storm such as Hurricane Ida, where many residents are displaced and cannot access a kitchen to prepare their meals.The waiver allows recipients to use their benefits to buy prepared foods available at any retailer that accepts EBT cards in Louisiana. Once you qualify for food benefits through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program , and/or economic assistance through Transitional Aid to Families with Dependent Children or Emergency Aid to the Elderly, Disabled, and Children , you can access them using an EBT card. Pennsylvania Ebt Deposit Schedule For 2021
In the state of Pennsylvania, the DHS distributes SNAP and TANF benefits to those who qualify.
In addition, there is no single date on which all EBT benefits are issued.
Instead, Food Stamps and Cash Assistance Benefits are deposited on EBT Cards over the first 10 days of every month.
When your food stamps benefit is deposited on your EBT Card depends on the last digit of your case number and your county of residence.
Counties may have one, two, or ten payment-day cycles.
For example, Beaver County is a one-payment-day cycle county. All recipients receive their benefits on payment cycle 3, regardless of the last digit of the case record number.
Berks County is a two-payment-day cycle county. Recipients with case record numbers ending in 1 through 5 receive their benefits on payment-day cycle 4.
Recipients with case record numbers ending in 6 through 0 receive their benefits on payment-day cycle 9.
Lancaster County is a 10-payment-day cycle county. Recipients receive their benefits on the payment-day cycle that is the same as the last digit of the case record number.
Both cash and SNAP benefits are posted to EBT accounts between midnight and 6 a.m. each day.
After 6 a.m. no additional benefits are added to EBT accounts.
