My goal was to eat healthier by cooking more meals at home, with fresh ingredients, but my biggest concern with meal-prep services like Blue Apron or HelloFresh doesnt cost. Its taste.

HelloFresh is the most popular meal delivery service in Germany and its native home of Austria, along with countries including France, Greece, Switzerland, and the UK. In the US alone, there are at least a dozen similar services available nationwide , all competing for your grocery dollars. All these companies follow Blue Aprons business model: you pay around $10/meal, and they ship your groceries with instructions on how to prepare them.
HelloFresh claims that 70% of its customers come from referrals a testament to theirand Ive been hearing about HelloFresh since at least 2014.
Lets start with that business model, though. The price you pay for HelloFresh depends on your desired box size. I chose the three-person option at $129, but they also offer single and six-person boxes.
