In fact, you can go online right now to choose an EBT food delivery service and get groceries delivered to your door.

Meal kits are subscription food and grocery services that focus on sending pre-portioned and sometimes partially-prepared food ingredients and recipes to customers for home preparation. Thus, most meal kit food items are EBT eligible since they dont fall under hot, prepared meals. That is why it isnt easy to find fast food places that take food stamps.
Top Box Foods is currently the only meal delivery service that allows customers to order food online with EBT.
Unfortunately, popular meal delivery services like Blue Apron and Hello Fresh dont accept EBT. If you want to order food from either of them, youll need to use an alternative payment method like a debit card or credit card with a smart chip, mobile payment like Apple pay, Google Pay, PayPal, American Express gift cards, or retail gift cards.
Alternatively, you can get food delivery from grocery stores that accept EBT. SNAP recipients can use their EBT card to buy food online, but there are some restrictions. Groceries can be purchased online using EBT from retailers such as Walmart, Kroger, Food Lion, etc. Online orders can be delivered or picked up at the curbside depending on which store and state you are purchasing from.
Most foods are eligible for SNAP benefits. Foods such as fresh fruit and vegetables, deli meats, chips, and snacks are all approved for purchase with an EBT card. However, you cannot purchase alcohol, tobacco products, vitamins or supplements, over-the-counter medicine, and prepared or hot foods.
We know that prepared meals are not eligible for EBT payment. This rules out online deliveries such as Grubhub, Uber Eats, and Postmates.
Is Ebt Hot Meal Program Delivery An Option
Each state has guidelines that determine what can and cant be purchased with EBT SNAP benefits. Some states do allow EBT hot meal program delivery in the form of restaurant prepared meals. This flexibility will allow participants to buy food while promoting social distancing to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and will help families with transportation and mobility barriers.

Once items are added to their cart through Instacart.com or the Instacart mobile app, customers will be able to select how much of their benefits they would like to allocate to the order.
