Most supermarkets, pharmacies and corner stores in the United States accept EBT Cards.
I have made a list of major grocery store chains that accept EBT card payment, which includes Albertsons, BI-LO, Costco, Kmart, Kroger, Publix, Sams Club, Walmart, and Whole Foods.
1. Walmart: Walmart does accept EBT card payment during checkout and also offers pickup service. You can order for items online and dont forget that your EBT card can not be used to pay for deliveries
2. ALDI: You can use your PEBT card, just like a SNAP EBT card, to buy groceries online from ALDI, and also youll need a Personal Identification Number to begin purchasing groceries online at Aldi.
3. Albertsons: Albertsons has strict restrictions on which customers can use SNAP benefits for online orders,they offer grocery delivery in a variety of areas, but it does not accept EBT cards for online purchases or delivery.
4. Kroger: Kroger does accept EBT payment,but mostly this store doesnt allow you to pay for deliveries through your card,with this you can only order from the card and pay with your cash.
5. Costco: you can use your EBT at Costco butyou cannot use your EBT/SNAP benefits or food stamps to pay for food at Costcos food court.
6. Target: Target has over 1.9 thousands store locations throughout all 50 states and the district of Columbia, all of which accept EBT cards for in-store purchases only.

In 2017, the United States Department of Agriculture announced a pilot program for online EBT purchases. The program allows EBT Cardholders to purchase groceries online for delivery or pick-up.
When the USDA initially set up the pilot program, the following states were approved for the program:

New York state was the first to actually implement the program, starting in .
In March 2020, the states of Alabama, Iowa, and Oregon launched their pilot programs.

If you dont have enough money on your EBT card to pay for all of your items, you can pay for the rest with a different form of payment such as a credit card, debit card, Grocery Outlet gift card, personal checks, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or cash. With more Americans claiming food assistance amid the pandemic, more states and stores are letting consumers use their benefits when ordering groceries online for pickup or delivery.
Participants in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, better known as SNAP, can pay in store at most major grocery chains including “specialty” grocery stores like Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s using electronic benefits transfer cards. But until last year, EBT wasn’t a widely available payment option online.
