Only customers who receive cash benefits can use their EBT card to pay the delivery fees of participating retailers. Can I Use My Ebt Card Out Of State
In most cases, you can use your EBT card out of state, at least temporarily. The only exception to this is in Puerto Rico. If youre traveling, using your benefits temporarily in another state should not be an issue if the establishment is set up to take SNAP benefits. However, if you move to a different state, your benefits will not transfer with you. You will need to cancel your SNAP benefits in the state youre leaving, then reapply through a SNAP office in the new state.

Request A Replacement Card
If your card is lost, stolen or damaged call EBT Customer Service at 997-2555 right away.
You can also request a replacement EBT card via the mail by using:
- DTAConnect.com or the DTA Connect mobile app. Under ‘My Info’, click on Request an EBT Card. You can also track the card in the mail on DTA Connect.
- Automated prompts on the DTA Assistance Line 382-2363.
You can also visit one of our local offices to receive an EBT card if you need one more quickly. If you cannot visit an office, talk to our staff about otheroptions.
When you request a new EBT card, it deactivates your old card. DTA cannot reactive an EBT card.
The PIN for your replacement card does not have to be the same as your old one but it will be the same unless you tell us you want a new PIN assigned to you. If you request a new PIN, it will be sent in the mail in a separate envelope from your replacement card. Your replacement card and PIN will arrive within 5-10 business days.
We can replace your card, but cannot replace any benefits taken from it. If benefits were left on your old card they will automatically transfer to your new replacement card.
Expect a fee.

The last method of checking your balance is at an ATM machine. The EBT card offered for food stamps by the SNAP program is issued by JP Morgan Chase, therefore it can be used at most ATM machines. Instacart, the online grocery delivery and pick-up service, announced on Thursday the start of a new pilot program that will allow people to pay for groceries using food stamps. The program is in partnership with the grocery store chain ALDI. Both companies plan to launch the service in phases starting with over 60 ALDI stores in Georgia before expanding to over 570 ALDI stores in Illinois, California, Florida, and Pennsylvania âin the coming months.â
To access the program, users need to make an Instacart profile. In their profile, they can add their Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program card information as a form of payment. Then, customers will need to add a second form of payment for taxes and fees since SNAP cards can only be used for food items.
This could potentially be a problem for people without credit or debit cards. Instacart only takes cards, so users relying on just SNAP and cash will likely be left out of the program.
After adding two forms of payment, customers can then start shopping for SNAP-eligible items from participating ALDI stores. They can choose how much of their SNAP benefits go toward their order, and determine when theyâd like to receive their groceries.

Are There Restrictions When Using My Ebt Card
