DoorDash is a great food delivery service if you want to order a restaurant meal from the comfort of your house. Can You Use EBT for DoorDash? Unfortunately, DoorDash doesnt take food stamps, which means you cant use your EBT to buy food or groceries on DoorDash.
Its because DoorDash primarily focuses on delivering food for restaurants, most of which is hot, prepared food. You cant use EBT to purchase hot and prepared foods at the point of sale unless you live in one of the few states participating in the Restaurant Meals Program .
It makes DoorDash ineligible for the USDA pilot program to enable SNAP beneficiaries to purchase food and groceries online with their SNAP funds. Even if DoorDash applied for approval and participated in the program, most of its hot, prepared restaurant food items wont be eligible.
