Instacart has enabled acceptance of electronic benefits transfer payments for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program online grocery purchases via its platform at another 10 states, including from Albertsons Cos. and Sprouts Farmers Market stores.
San Francisco-based Instacart said Monday that, through the Instacart App, SNAP recipients can order groceries for delivery or pickup from grocers across 49 states and Washington, D.C., and pay directly with their EBT cards. That now includes stores in Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Louisiana, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.

On the retailer side, grocery stores can process SNAP EBT payments for Instacart orders using the Carrot Payments component of Instacart Platform, the online delivery giants enterprise solutions suite. The capability includes orders placed via the Instacart App as well as through grocers own digital properties built with Instacarts Carrot Storefront and Carrot Storefront Pro platform modules. Grocery retailers also can use Carrot Payments to accept other types of digital payments, including Apple Pay and PayPal.
Albertsons now enables SNAP recipients to use EBT to pay for Instacart App grocery orders, while Tops Friendly Market SNAP customers can do so via both the Instacart App and the grocer’s Instacart-powered e-grocery website.
What Restaurants Take California Snap Ebt
Your CalFresh EBT Card or Golden State Advantage card can be used at select restaurants and fast food places if you meet the eligibility criteria.
This is part of the CalFresh Restaurant Meals Program.

Shop For Eligible Snap Food Items
There are a few ways for you to see which items are EBT SNAP eligible.
You can allow EBT SNAP-eligible items to display when you shop. To enable this setting
Also, when searching for items you can add a filter by tapping Explore > EBT Eligibility and selecting Only EBT-eligible items to see only EBT-eligible items.
Additionally, if you are browsing items from the Store Homepage, tap or click on a specific item to see if it is EBT SNAP eligible.
If it is eligible, it will say EBT above the price of the item.
Lastly, you can confirm which items are EBT SNAP-eligible in your cart before checking out. It will say EBT under the name of each item that qualifies.

Most items will be packaged in either paper or reusable plastic bags depending upon the requirements of your local area. Yes. Your current Safeway for U offers will apply when you shop online, provided the account you used to register for your online grocery account is the same as or linked to your Safeway for U account that you use for in-store purchases. Safeway for U savings will be reflected on your final receipt at the time of delivery or pickup. If you don’t see your Safeway for U savings reflected on your final receipt or if you have any questions, please contact Customer Service at 505-4040. Yes, you can make online purchases with more than one type of payment method, and you can use another payment method to pay for non-SNAP eligible items. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express credit cards, and most bank-issued debit cards. Cash, our gift cards, Safeway Pay, personal checks, and other charge accounts are currently not accepted for online orders. Residents of Arizona with disabilities who use Electronic Benefit Transfer and need to use the Online Grocery Ordering Service because of their disability may contact Customer Service at 505-4040 for assistance. If you elect to be transferred to a third-party service providers website , then the types of payment options and related terms will be established by that company.

Online grocery shopping platform Instacart now accepts California SNAP EBT for delivery.
Since November 2020, Instacart has expanded its online grocery shopping nationwide.
As of July 2022, SNAP recipients can use Instacart to order groceries for delivery or pickup from grocers across 49 states and Washington, D.C., and pay directly with their EBT cards.
That now includes stores in California.

- Service fees vary and are subject to change based on factors like location and the number and types of items in your cart. Orders containing alcohol have a separate service fee.
- Tipping is optional for delivery orders. Its a great way to show your shopper appreciation and recognition for excellent service. 100% of your tip goes directly to the shopper who delivers your order.

Instacart doesnt work with every store, so just select the store that shows up on your app or the website.

Maybe is the short answer.
Customers in select states can use SNAP EBT on Amazon groceries, Amazon Pantry, and Amazon Fresh. In fact, not only can you use EBT, but as an EBT cardholder, you can get a discount on Amazon Prime.
To use your EBT card on Amazon, you first need to register your card using this link.
Just follow the instructions on the screen. If you are not already an Amazon customer, youll need to create an account. Once you have created your account, youll enter your zip code and SNAP EBT cart information.
You can also add your EBT card during checkout as well.
In many states, you wont need to have an Amazon Prime membership to shop Amazon Fresh with your EBT card. But as Amazon states, Amazon accepts SNAP EBT in all states except: Alaska, Arkansas, Hawaii, Louisiana, Maine and Montana. See FAQ for more information.
The good news is that Amazon offers a 50% discounton Amazon Prime for EBT and Medicaid cardholders.
Shopping Amazon with EBT is probably a better deal than shopping with Instacart anyway, as Instacarts prices are an average of 15% more than at the grocery store. This can add up if you have a lot of mouths to feed.

If you want to have groceries delivered from Walmart, using DoorDash may be an option.
DoorDash delivers for Walmart in 46 states, and they do not charge higher than store prices. Walmart recommends not tipping drivers.
