Call the DTA Assistance Line at 1-877-382-2363 to hear automated information about your case or speak with a live worker.
Through the Assistance Lines Interactive Voice Response system, you can hear information about your case and report certain changes, 24 hours/7 days a week including:
- The status of your case.
- Date that DTA last received a document from you.
- Amount of your benefits and next date you will have benefits deposited on your EBT card.
- The address of your local DTA office.
- Information about DTAs SNAP and cash programs.
You can also use the IVR to make changes or request information, including:

What Are Proof Of Participation Documents
Proof of Eligibility documents are copies of your cards or letters that show you are currently participating in a Government program. Receiving your Proof of Eligibility documents is necessary for American Assistance to approve your application and ship out your smartphone. Requesting A Replacement Card

Who Is Eligible To Participate In The Program
- People who live together and buy food and prepare meals together are grouped as a household for SNAP. Husbands and wives, and children under age 22 living with their natural, adoptive or stepparents must be considered as one household.
- Household members that wish to be included must be U.S. citizens or legal aliens.
- Household members that wish to be included must furnish or apply for a social security number.
- Income and resource guidelines listed in this overview must be met.

Previously, those on the stamps, also known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, were not eligible to buy prepared items, according to the office of New York Governor Kathy Hochul.
As a result, this complicated matters for individuals who could not prepare food on their own.
But thanks to a new program signed into law by Mrs Hochul, poor, disabled, and elderly folks on food stamps can use them to purchase hot or prepared meals from restaurants, as well as delis.
Moreover, prices will be discounted for those on food stamps.

Food stamp recipients in many states can now use their benefits to buy items online from Amazon and Walmart.
The changes currently affect Alabama, California, Florida, Iowa, Kentucky, Nebraska, New York, Oregon and Washington, according to the federal government.
Other recipients in additional states are expected to be eligible starting in April or May, including Missouri, North Carolina and Vermont and others.
They apply to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or SNAP, formerly known as food stamps.
Alabamas SNAP recipients can also buy items online from Wrights Market, and New York participants can also do so at ShopRite.
Government officials said they hope to expand the online purchases to more businesses.
States are also unveiling pandemic electronic benefit transfer cards that will assist families who receive free or reduced meals at schools.
The pandemic EBT cards come through the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, a bill Congress passed in March thats estimated to be providing some $192 billion. States currently participating are Alabama, Arizona, California, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Mexico, North Carolina, Rhode Island and Virginia.
Californias program will provide $365 to families for each eligible child. It acts like a debit card and can be used on groceries and food. In Massachusetts, it will provide $5.70 per child per day.
