Interested in SNAP benefits can also go into the local DHS office and complete the application while you are there.

You can also print the Arkansas Department of Human Services Application for SNAP and TEA and fill it out at home.

In Arkansas, one application is used to apply for SNAP Food Assistance, Cash Assistance, and Transitional Employment Assistance Program.

The TEA program helps economically needy families with children under the age of 18 become more responsible for their own support and less dependent on public assistance.

TEA provides monthly cash assistance to eligible families to help meet the familys basic needs. You can use the application to apply for both, food assistance and cash assistance.

Complete all required information and turn your application into the local DHS office where you live.

You can submit the SNAP application only with your name, address, and signature the DHS office has to accept the application with the current date.

Arkansas Department Of Human Services To Issue New P

Pandemic SNAP or is a program through the Arkansas Department of Human Services that helps eligible families cover grocery costs for meals missed during the school year due to COVID-19. DHS Communications Specialist Alexus Raymo said new P-EBT cards will be issued on July 31.

To be eligible for this benefit, students must be enrolled in a free or reduced lunch program through a National School Lunch Program at a public or private school location, Raymo said.

All students whose meal records show that they are eligible for the program will automatically be issued the benefit. Eligibility requirements differ slightly for this years programming.

The eligibility requirements have changed just a little. The benefits will only be given to the eligible students who are virtual learners and students at schools who reported school closures and virtual learning days due to COVID-19 concerns, Raymo said. This year, children under six years old who were in childcare may also qualify.

Benefit amounts will vary based on the number of days a school was closed or had virtual learning days.

Unlike last year, everyone is not going to get the same benefit amount and benefits can vary for each child. Even children that live in the same household and attend the same school districts could see different benefit amounts, Raymo said.

A new call center dedicated specifically to addressing questions about P-EBT is now accessible at on Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
