Participants in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, better known as SNAP, can pay in store at most major grocery chains including specialty grocery stores like Whole Foods and Trader Joes using electronic benefits transfer cards. But until last year, EBT wasnt a widely available payment option online. Now, thanks to the continued expansion of an online purchasing pilot program run by the U.S. Department of Agricultures Food and Nutrition Service, households receiving SNAP benefits in 47 states and the District of Columbia can use EBT to pay for grocery pickup and/or delivery from a number of retailers .
The list of participating states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. Hw Do I Use Ebt Online
1. Add an EBT SNAP card to your account.
Under Payment Information, enter your EBT card number. There are no order minimums once youâve added an EBT card and applied the appropriate SNAP funds. Add your payment information during checkout if this is your first purchase with us.
2. When checking out, choose SNAP benefits from the drop-down menu.
There is a SNAP checkbox that you can access on the order summary page. Coupon codes should always be entered before using SNAP.
3. Select a SNAP credit amount.
You can charge a sum to your SNAP account after checking your SNAP-eligible grocery purchases and the subtotal.
4. Enter your EBT cardâs PIN.

Heres how to use SNAP EBT online.
Add Products to Your Cart.
You can add products to your cart after saving your EBT Card details. Remember, you need a different payment method to purchase non-eligible items.
Go to Checkout.
Choose Checkout after viewing your cart. Click the EBT card checkbox on the Select payment method screen to continue.
You can decide whether to use the EBT Cash or EBT Food allotment. You can pay the remaining sum if you dont have enough EBT funds by using a credit or debit card.
Enter Your PIN.
