Important: Replacement P-EBT Food Benefit cards should only be requested when the previously issued card has been lost, stolen or damaged. Food benefits will be issued as monthly in-person school attendance information provided by schools and school districts is reviewed and processed. Ordering a replacement card will not result in receiving your childâs P-EBT food benefits faster and, in some cases, may delay access to your childâs benefits
You can order a replacement P-EBT Food Benefit card by calling 1-888-328-6399. Please be prepared to provide security information, including the 19-digit card number that was printed on the front of the P-EBT Food Benefit card you are replacing.
- If you do not have that number, you will be asked for the cardholderâs Social Security Number however, when ordering a replacement P-EBT Food Benefit card , you must enter 999-99 and then the 2-digit month and 2-digit day of the cardholderâs birthday.
- For example, if your childâs date of birth is July 4, you would enter 999-99-0704 when asked for his/her social security number.

Where To Use P
Stores that accept SNAP
- P-EBT can be used anywhere SNAP benefits are accepted, like grocery stores or smaller corner stores.
- Look for signs that say We accept EBT/SNAP here or a QUEST logo.

Double Up Food Bucks
- P-EBT can be used to earn Double Up Food Bucks. With Double Up Food Bucks, you can receive vouchers for up to an additional $20 in Colorado-grown fruits and vegetables. Visit the Double Up website for a list of participating markets near you.
How Do I Activate California P
To activate your card, call the P-EBT Customer Service Center at 328-9677.
Option 4 will allow you to set a PIN for your new card.
However, youll need the following information to activate your card:
- The 16-digit card number found on the front of your card
- Your zip code for your mailing address
- The 6-digit date of birth for the child named on the card.

First Time Mobile App And Website Users
You must register your EBT Card account and select your User ID and password by using either the ConnectEBT mobile app or at ConnectEBT.com for access. Registering on either one also registers you on the other. Have your EBT Card handy when registering.
If you already have your ConnectEBT.com User ID and password, youre ready to use the same ID and password for the ConnectEBT Mobile App.
Electronic Benefits Transfer And Electronic Funds Transfer
If you receive food assistance, you will be issued an Electronic Benefits Transfer Card. This card is also called a “Quest Card”. You use this card like a debit card to purchase food items at stores. You will be given a detailed booklet describing how to use your card when you are approved for benefits.

If you are receiving cash assistance, you will have the option of having your benefits issued to your EBT card or having your benefits deposited by Electronic Funds Transfer into your checking or savings account. Your case worker can give you more information on how you can set up direct deposit for your benefits.

Request A Replacement Card
If your card is lost, stolen or damaged call EBT Customer Service at 997-2555 right away.
You can also request a replacement EBT card via the mail by using:
- DTAConnect.com or the DTA Connect mobile app. Under ‘My Info’, click on Request an EBT Card. You can also track the card in the mail on DTA Connect.
- Automated prompts on the DTA Assistance Line 382-2363.
You can also visit one of our local offices to receive an EBT card if you need one more quickly. If you cannot visit an office, talk to our staff about otheroptions.
When you request a new EBT card, it deactivates your old card. DTA cannot reactive an EBT card.
The PIN for your replacement card does not have to be the same as your old one but it will be the same unless you tell us you want a new PIN assigned to you. If you request a new PIN, it will be sent in the mail in a separate envelope from your replacement card. Your replacement card and PIN will arrive within 5-10 business days.
We can replace your card, but cannot replace any benefits taken from it. If benefits were left on your old card they will automatically transfer to your new replacement card.
Expect a fee.
It costs $5 to replace an EBT card. The $5 fee will be taken from your benefits. If you have no benefits available, DTA will take the fee from you later. There’s no $5 fee if:

Where Can I Use California P
P-EBT households can use their benefits at retailers that accept food stamps .
The P-EBT benefits can be used to purchase eligible foods on the food stamps list.
In California, Families can use P-EBT benefits to buy food at most grocery stores and farmers markets.
Furthermore, P-EBT benefits can be used to buy groceries online at Amazon, Walmart, and Aldi stores through Instacart.
Also, families can also shop online at Albertsons, Vons, and Safeway stores and pay with their EBT card at pickup.
How To Set Up An Income
As a non-profit organization, the YMCA offers fitness facilities, a pool, classes, and even inexpensive summer day camps for kids at certain locations. YMCA membership is also relatively affordable compared to many competing gyms and fitness centers. But families who qualify for SNAP EBT or EBT Cash benefits may also qualify for a discounted YMCA membership or financial assistance of other kinds. Plus, you may be able to use your EBT Cash benefits to pay for your YMCA membership, as well as classes and YMCA-based childcare programs.

Guidelines, rules, and how to apply may vary based on your local Y. For instance, the YMCA of Greater New York offers a financial assistance program with scholarships granted based on the applicants demonstrated need due to household income. Families who qualify for SNAP EBT or EBT benefits may also qualify for this program.
The YMCA of Greater Brandywine in Chester County, Pennsylvania, on the other hand, also offers income-based membership rates for families with a gross household income under $80,000, and to individuals with a gross income under $50,000. To apply, you will need a copy of last years federal tax return, two recent pay stubs or social security/disability checks, and a government-issued ID. You will also require the membership application form, which you can download from the YMCA website.

How To Activate A P
- Visit www.ebtEDGE.com and click cardholder portal OR call 888.328.2656 .
- Enter the 16-digit card number.
- Enter 4 digits to create a PIN. This will activate the card. The PIN is what keeps the benefits safe.
- If the card gets lost or damaged, a replacement can be requested by calling EBT Customer Service at 888.328.2656.
- The cards PIN can be changed anytime by logging onto ebtEDGE or by calling EBT Customer Service.
If You Receive Multiple P
K-12 families will receive an EBT card and letter for each school-aged child receiving Summer P-EBT. If you received two letters, that means two cards will arrive. If you were issued multiple cards and letters, please do the following when setting the PIN:
- If one card has arrived so far, take the first letter and call 1-888-997-9333 or go to www.ebtedge.com and try to set the PIN.
- If that doesnt work, take the second letter and use on that card that you just tried and use the Case Number and Birth Date from that second letter to try and set the PIN.
- If you have a third letter or more, repeat until you can set the PIN for the card you have in your hand.
- Once the PIN is set, note that on the letter you got and move on to the next card and repeat the process.
- Wait for the other card to arrive in the mail and use the other letter to set the pin on the second card.

Ebt Card Basic Instructions
After being approved for services, you will receive a plastic card with a magnetic strip in the mail, which you can use to connect with your cash, and SNAP assistance. Your EBT card will arrive in a white envelope with an out of state address. If you are homeless or have no mailing address, your card will be sent to a post office near you marked for General Delivery.
Once you receive your EBT card you will need to contact the Horizon Helpdesk at the number listed below to activate your card and select a PIN. The Personal Identification Number protects your account from being used by someone else.
Choose a PIN that is not easily guessed. Keep your PIN secret and do not write it down on the card or card sleeve. Without the PIN, nobody else can use your card. Change your PIN often.
Keep your Horizon card even if your case closes. This will save you time if you apply again for help in the future, as you won’t have to wait for a new card to be mailed to you.

How To Set Your Pin
You must call 1 997-9333 or go to www.ebtEdge.com. You will need your P-EBT letter from DES which will inform you how to set your PIN. This could arrive before or after the card arrives and both will be sent to the address on file with your local school.
You are responsible for your EBT Card, Personal Identification Number , and the use of your benefits. KEEP YOUR PIN PRIVATE! It is recommended that you update your PIN monthly. If your Cash Assistance or Nutrition Assistance account is accessed and used with your card or your EBT alternative holder card, the benefits will not be replaced. Benefits will not be considered for replacement until after they have been reported lost or stolen and will be limited to benefits remaining in your Electronic Benefit Transfer account as of the date of the report. Report Lost Or Stolen Card
If you have lost your card, or your card has been stolen, call FIS Customer Service at 1-888-997-9333 IMMEDIATELY.
The first replacement card in a calendar year is free. You are charged $5 for each additional replacement card. When you or your EBT alternate cardholder requests 3 or more replacement EBT cards within a 12-month period, you will be issued a replacement card, but you may not be able to use it until you make contact to explain the reason for the replacement EBT card request.
Protect Your Benefits: Arizona EBT cards are NOT insured. Lost or stolen benefits CANNOT be replaced.

Will There Be P
Yes, there will be.
Recently, the state of California was approved to provide eligible children P-EBT food benefits for the entire 2020-21 school year.
This is the second extension of the P-EBT program in California, otherwise referred to as P-EBT 2.0.
However, to provide P-EBT benefits for the 2020-21 school year, states must develop and submit a new P-EBT plan for federal approval.
The CDSS and CDE are awaiting federal guidance and will be working to develop and submit a plan as soon as possible.
We will provide more information soon on when the third round of P-EBT benefits will be paid.

Option 1 Check By Phone
You can check your California P-EBT Card balance by calling the Customer Service number on the back of your card.

After you call, enter your P-EBT card number and you will hear your account balance.
Option 2 Check Your Last Receipt
Also, you can check the balance on your California P-EBT card through your last transaction receipt.
This is the easiest and quickest way to locate the current balance on your P-EBT Card.
To locate the balance, look at the bottom of your most recent grocery store receipt.
Furthermore, it is a good practice to keep your most current P-EBT receipt.
That way, you always have a quick way to check your P-EBT card balance before you shop.

If My Family Is Eligible For The August
Yes. You will get new cards in the mail and dont need to do anything.
The cards were mailed in late October but will continue through late December.
As of December 22, 2020, all P-EBT extension cards have been mailed to families with eligible children.
However, if you did not receive your card in the mail as expected, contact the P-EBT Helpline at 328-9677 office for help.
