The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program of Indiana, more commonly known by the acronym SNAP, is a joint venture between the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Service and the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration. This joint association provides people with both federal and state options to report potential instances of SNAP — food stamp — fraud.
SNAP fraud involves three specific actions.

Snap Rules And Regulations
The United States Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program is overseen by each state but is run on a national level by the government. SNAP Food stamp benefits are regulated by United States Code and the Code of Federal Regulations . The United States Department of Agriculture and the Food & Nutrition Service are federal entities that oversee the SNAP benefits, enforce the regulations and run the program.

SNAP has one of the lowest fraud rates among Federal programs, and the USDA is continuing to take positive steps to improve SNAP and to reduce fraud.
