With more Americans claiming food assistance amid the pandemic, more states and stores are letting consumers use their benefits when ordering groceries online for pickup or delivery.
Participants in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, better known as SNAP, can pay in store at most major grocery chains including âspecialtyâ grocery stores like Whole Foods and Trader Joeâs using electronic benefits transfer cards. But until last year, EBT wasnât a widely available payment option online. Now, thanks to the continued expansion of an online purchasing pilot program run by the U.S. Department of Agricultureâs Food and Nutrition Service, households receiving SNAP benefits in 47 states and the District of Columbia can use EBT to pay for grocery pickup and/or delivery from a number of retailers .
The list of participating states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. Alaska, Louisiana, and Montana are the only states that have not enrolled in the pilot.

What Is The H
H-E-B complies with all of the USDAs SNAP regulations. The rules state that no SNAP recipient should be treated with bias, neither in their favor nor against them. In simple words, all authorized SNAP retailers must have the same return policy for SNAP-using customers as they do for all other consumers.
As a result, H-E-B does not have a separate EBT return policy for items purchased through SNAP benefits. With a receipt dated within 90 days of the transaction, you can easily return or refund most of your EBT purchases. You will receive your refunds back into your SNAP EBT account. SNAP/EBT cards used by the Snap Food Assistance Program can now be used for curbside delivery at select H-E-B stores.

More than 900,000 snap households should expect to see more money on their Lonestar Card by June 12. This emergency fund is in addition to the more than $400M given to snap users in April and May.

You can use digital coupons on the H-E-B website or the app for delivery orders. In-store coupons and manufacturer coupons are not accepted for H-E-B delivery. To use coupons for a delivery order, simply clip the coupon online or on the app, and it will automatically be applied to eligible items before checkout.
There are two ways that you can find digital H-E-B coupons. You can go to the Coupons tab on the My H-E-B app. Here you can browse for any coupons you want and clip them. There is also a Coupons tab on the H-E-B website.
You will also see available coupons as you look at specific eligible items. Again, make sure to clip them so they can be applied to your order.
You should be aware of a few rules when it comes to shopping with coupons at H-E-B, especially for delivery.
First, multiple coupons for a single item cannot be stacked if they are both specific to that item.
Second, any items that you add on after your order has been placed will not be eligible for any coupons, even if the coupon is valid when you add the new product.
Finally, any coupon for an item that had to be substituted will still be applied to your delivery order.
